decadence + debauchery
one of my favorite editorials of ALL TIME, the couturettes:

shortly after this story came out, i was inspired to style my own renegade version - in the dilapidated backyard of a brooklyn brownstone - starring a few friends and a gaggle of 'glamour monsters' we had made.
it's the most low-budget shoot i've ever worked on, and yet also my enduring favorite (a nice reminder that you really don't need a lot of money to make something grand. thought it was time to share:
in addition to styling and doing the makeup, i designed all the jewelry + hats in the shoot, and also made a wee cameo:
