There's a Drumming Noise Inside My Head That Starts When You're Around.

I thrifted an epic cape a couple of weeks ago ($7+$16 alter=very happy camper).
So, in honor of this find, my lovely sister Grace and I took a "magic hour" stroll down to a nearby park and staged a woodland fairy tale...of sorts.

*Note I am attempting my serious, brooding faces here. These are my acting chops in use.

Thrifted
cape, dress. American Apparel sheer tights.
Urban Outfitters knee socks. Hot Kiss floral platforms.

Spring Ahead.

(image heavy post)
A sunny photoshoot with Grace and I.

Thrifted boy's blazer, Liberty of London skirt ($3!!!), doll hat.
American Eagle Outfitters cropped tee.
Ardene's tights. Bamboo ankle booties.

An Island Breeze.

Back in January, my sister and I took a fun filled trip to Granville Island
which was her Christmas present to me.
I am finally getting around to posting these photos!
It is one of my favourite places to take a day trip.
The island is full of good eats, galleries and shops
including a umbrella store and a postcard store!
I highly recommend it if you are in the Vancouver area.

Notice how Grace is starting be as stylish as I am...
I better watch my back!

Out of the Toy Box.

This Halloween I was a doll who escaped the toy box for one night! I was originally going to be a majorette, but ran out of time/money/creativity. I was pleased with the back up costume though...The make up was really fun to wear, especially the eyelashes and the wig. Both will resurface, I'm sure of it.

We snuck into the Waldorf on Saturday night, and had the best time! All they played was late 1950's, early 60's sock-hop type music. Kate and I literally did The Twist the whole night. It played out exactly like the dream dance party I've been fantasizing about! I think I might have found my new hang out in the city.

We carved pumpkins last week. Soooo pumpkin carving bonus round!!!
Also, what were you this Halloween?

Thrifted crinoline (it was only $4!!!), belt. Old Navy skirt.
Mariposa bustier. Claire's socks.
H&M shoes. Dressew gloves.
"Alter Ego" wig.
PS. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRACE!
You are the most wonderful little sister one could ask for.

The Perfect Night Out.

Kate, Grace and I took a little early fall trip to Ft. Langley,
a cute little town about 20 mins away from where we live.
We got a delicious pasta dinner for a steal,
browsed in cute shops, and had tasty dessert.
What more could a girl ask for?

*Most of the outfits worn are almost 100% thrifted.

Oregon Trail.

My sister, mom and I went to Portland during the summer...
I must say, it remains one of my favourite cities. Every time I'm there, I feel like I'm at home.
Grace and I went on a little adventure in a part of the city which we hadn't been to before, and discovered a new favourite neighbourhood.
We also visited these beautiful Chinese gardens, which are buried in the middle of the city. I highly recommend them as a perfectly relaxing escape. Enough rambling, here's some pictures!

Remember when....?

I profusely apologize for my lack of outfit posting since god knows when.
Life kind of took hold for a while there, and needless to say, I had an amazing summer.
Here's some pictures from when my sister Grace and I went to Seattle!
