Bookshops are the best shops... that is my loaded and extremely biased opinion...but I think it's true. In Paris I have a favourite, Librairie Galignani on the rue de Rivoli. It is just opposite the Place Colette entrance to the Palais Royale so perfect people watching is guaranteed before or after the book browsing.

Reading is a strange commodity...To read to one's heart's content is the greatest luxury of all yet at the same time reading is one of life's basic essentials and something that we take for granted every day.

Reading for pleasure...that's my weekend planned......xv
