{ costume of the day } specs appeal
today i wanted to counterbalance the toughness of my black biker bomber and boots with a nerdier touch... so i donned a twee floral dress and popped the lenses out of my sunnies. voila ~ instant geek chic!!!
i've had this leather moto jacket for 6 or 7 years now. when i first found it at neiman marcus in texas, it was decidedly outside my college-kid budget. but i loved it...
in the fitting room, while pondering the prudence of such a splurge, i happened to run into a friend's mom. i appealed to her wisdom, wondering what to do. she ordered: 'buy it. don't even think about it. a jacket like that? you'll wear forever. you'll never regret it.'
she was right.
