The Owl That Calls Upon the Night



There has been plenty of blog love for We Are Owls and their printed cashmere scarves of late, and I'm sure there will be plenty more once everyone sees the Spring Collection. Designer Ling Chen was inspired by travels through Tulum beaches and ancient Mayan ruins, and the new season's designs are meant to resemble artwork from the forgotten world. The hand-drawn prints make references to Native American glyphs, tribal patterns, and symbolic sugar skulls, all infused with bright pops of color for a modern spin. Here are a couple of my favorite designs, with explanations of the inspiration below.
