{ costume of the day } la dolce vita
i love living in new york because here i can wear whatever wackery i want. moreover, there are many merchants hungry to hawk it to me.
and yet, when it comes to true treasure hunting, the big city's not really the best place to forage. in pursuit of seriously special statements, small towns just can't be beat.

this weekend ~ as we often do ~ the glamourguy and i motored off for an antiquing expedition upstate. i knew it was worth the drive the moment i met this faux fur leopard skirt, sitting in some small town consignment shop, sized precisely to my measurements. even better, it was a bargain!

combined with an old gold-woven shirt found in texas, plus an ellen tracy belt from another new york vintage adventure, and i've got not just an outfit, but some really remarkable memories.

wearing: d+g sunnies, DIY cardigan, vintage blouse, belt + skirt, the glamourai rings, bebe booties
