Going to see The Gossip tonight, I can't wait!

Sunday was AMAZING. We saw The Red Wine Boys and Aziz Ansari. We couldn't take pictures in the comedy show, but Sarah Silverman showed up and took part in The Red Wine Boys act. Aziz was really really funny, and super cute (so I'm sad I couldn't take any pictures).
Before the comedy stuff, we saw The Yeah Yeah Yeahs!!! It was a phenomenal show, Karen O is one of the most charismatic performers I've seen. I almost cried during Maps, it was sung so heartbreakingly, and the whole crowd was singing along softly. A moment I'll always remember, for sure. Karen wore this crazy jumpsuit thing, that had layers that could come off, and a killer spiked glove. The K.O. jacket from the Zero video also made an appearance, and yes, it's just as spectacular in real life.

Other highlights from Sunday:
Katie debuting her vintage velvet hair bow from Red Light in Seattle. They were $0.50 (I got a green one). Also, we went to Burgermaster, which was throughly amusing since we don't have drive in diners anymore in Canada.

I know that you dear readers aren't used to me wearing anything overtly sensual, but when Mitzi invited me to the Autolux concert, I knew I had the perfect thing to wear!

I recieved this bodysuit from Chictopia as a Chic Reward about a year ago, but I've always been a little hesitant to wear it, due to it's cheeky sheer panel. It's definitely not a "going to Grandma's" peice!

We had so so much fun that night! MitziCocoa looked amazing as always in black lace and we were delightfully coordinating, semi-intentionally. We found ourselves in the midst of mild ramble-rousing, which consisted of a bottle of white wine and some half cooked midnight Pizza Pops.
They were still doughy (oops...) I won't forget this one!

It's moving time! I'm half in Abbotsford and half in Vancouver, so everything is kind of everywhere. I bought a laptop...so hopefully I can sort of keep up with internet like things.

Some time ago, a couple of friends and I formed a band of sorts, in which I did vocals and accessory rhythm (tambourine and shakers, haha). We ended up playing a benefit concert in June for The Ride To Conquer Cancer. The concert went really well, and I wish that I could continue playing music with this amazing group. Sadly, we are on an indefinite haitus...but alas, it was good while it lasted!

Florence+the Machine has been a constant inspiration of mine since I first listened to her CD last year. I'd never heard a sound like hers, and the songs have a tranformative power that I'm yet to feel from other artists. Original, ethereal and armed with wicked style (not to mention the best shade of red hair!), she was just as captivating when we saw her live! I managed to get the front and dead center of the stage. Oh, did I mention she held my hand and sang to me during Kiss With A Fist? I nearly died, I was on cloud nine! Sorry if this is coming out as a mushy love letter, she just has that kind of effect. The best part of the show? She has the most effevescent personality! So bubbly and clearly loves what she does. You can't deny that she is going places, so keep a look out for her!
