   Pour arriver à Los Angeles en beauté, rien de tel que d'emprunter la route 1 qui longe la côte depuis San Francisco. Une fois sur place, on oublie toute notion de temps. La lumière est différente, l'atmosphère aussi. On commence par marquer une pause sur les plages de Malibu, pour ensuite goûter à la chaleur de Santa Monica, au sentiment de liberté à Venice beach. Plus tard, on se laisse guider par la sinueuse Mulholland drive jusqu'au sommet d'Hollywood, on dort à l'hôtel Standard dans Dowtown (550, S Flower St 90071), on se perd dans Beverly Hills, on adopte Melrose Avenue et on dit triplement oui à un double cheeseburger et un vanilla shake au diner Johnny Rockets (7507 Melrose Avenue). Un condensé de petits bonheurs.

   The best to reach Los Angeles is maybe to take the Highway 1 from San Francisco. When you arrive, you take a nap at Malibu beaches, before tasting the Santa Monica heat and feeling free at Venice beach. Then it is great to take Mulholland Drive to Hollywood, to sleep at Standard Hotel in Downtown (550, S Flower St 90071), to lost yourself in Beverly Hills, to finish by Melrose Avenue and eat a cheeseburger and a vanilla shake at Johnny Rockets (7507 Melrose Avenue).

DeSan Francisco, je retiendrai les sirènes qui se perdent en continudans le ciel, les dénivelés vertigineux, la vue depuis ma chambred'hôtel (Hôtel Holiday Inn, 1500Van Ness Avenue), l'Alamo Square, HaightStreet, la pâtisserie ouverte après minuit, lespoints de vue magiques, les paninis de chez Baonecci (516 Greenstreet), l'habituel et enchanteresque « how are you doing? »et à l'heure du départ, The Doors dans la voiture, sur la route endirection de LA.

Iwill remember so much things about San Francisco. First the magicvista points, then the sirens noise, the impressive changes inaltitude, my hotel room view (Holiday Inn, 1500Van Ness Avenue), Alamo Square, HaightStreet, the open bakery at midnight, the Baoneci paninis (516Green street), people always asking « how are you doing? »and The Doors in the car before leaving to LA.
