in my dreams, this is exactly what my life looks like (i'm working pretty hard to make it a reality):

now that i'm back home in nyc (where everything seems so grey) it's the colors of mexico i'm missing most...

beachy stylings aside, we couldn't compete with the natural views - and were certainly too lazy to try - but i swear i'll share a few more looks nevertheless.

i've come back (for a bit) to the hustle & grind of new york city. before i completely re-acclimate, here's a look at a few of last week's finer fashion moments (ie: whenever i wore more than a maillot)...

i'll admit: constantly shuffling between the pool and the beach has made me a little lazy. i think i may need to return to the city for a few days just to get back up to speed! in the meantime, i'll continue wearing this filmy kimono over absolutely everything (it's already been 4 days straight)! the darn thing reeks of sunscreen.

i've decided to make living easy this summer. to wit, i've decamped my glamour base ~ moving all operations out to the hamptons ~ where i can type by the pool, and be inspired by the sun and surf.

expect some tropical, colorful gems to be forthcoming, and many kimono and caftan-centric costumes, looking something like these:

it's a holiday weekend in the states, meaning that half the city of new york - myself included - have migrated out to the hamptons to celebrate in the sun!

i've been lazing about the beach, but i haven't slacked on style!
