{ glamporium morn } swan song

i'm launching this week's etsy collection a few hours early because i have an action-packed week ahead and have got to get my beauty sleep!

{click any photo to jump to its listing in the glamporium}

it seems so strange that these will be the last designs of 2009 ~ at the end of the week i'll be shuttering the shop until the new year. this means: if you like something now, don't hesitate to take it home! i'm still unsure what will remain for the 2010 reopening.

{ glamporium morn } glamourrings

today in the glamporium, i've launched the last gaggle of glamour rings that will appear until the new year. my favorite everyday accessory, they are sized, patterned, and priced to fit every budget and style, and make great holiday gifts!

like all glamporium jewelry, they're delivered in a chic glamourai gift box. plus, domestic orders received before sunday, december 20th will receive free shipping; tell your friends!

{ glamourai diy } the old bow and chain

recently, on my DIY idea tumblr, i posted pics of bow-bedecked chain handle bags from lanvin and marni, and pledged to pick a bag from my personal collection to be-ribbon.

this normally neglected, vintage morris moskovitz fur purse was perfect for the project:

{ABOVE: BEFORE}

i wove a bias silk ribbon through a little over half the gold chain handle {just enough so it would crest over my shoulder when worn}, braided the remainder with a smaller brass chain...

{ABOVE + BELOW: AFTER}

...then finished the ribbon ends with my favorite fanciful flourish ~ floppy bows!

i am thrilled with the results of this fun and easy project, and can't wait to wear my newly improved {so much better} bag!

{ glamporium morn } silver bells

your dearly devoted glamour-elves have been working double time to ensure there's enough glitter in the glamporium to go around this gift-giving season. every girl deserves something sparkly in her stocking!

thus, this week's collection is all about tinselly trinkets ~ silvery spangles that will swimmingly sashay from holiday parties into the new year!

also ~ in case you missed the news ~ i added an extra batch of uber-affordable glamour-gifts last week {necklaces, bracelets, and more...} AND majorly marked down many a marvel ~ all to make it easier for everyone to give and to get!

{ glamporium morn } kingdom of hearts

this week's entire etsy collection was inspired by these two antique duchess-in-heart-frame pendants:

since these dames are so darn fancy, i figured they deserved a considerable kingdom of complementary courtesans:

i hope there's lots of love in store for everyone this week!

{ glamporium morn } the glamourwrap edition

this week's glamporium morn comes a day early, and instead of restocking the etsy shop, i've hoisted a host of holiday goodies into the shrimpton couture store, including new amethyst amulets...

...turquoise floral rings...

...and ~ after much ado ~ gobs of gorgeous glamourwraps!

{ glamporium morn } treasures untold

gracing the glamporium this week are some of the fanciest glamourrings yet to be seen ~ and that's not even the best news of the day!

for now, head over to etsy for some pretty pyrite pirate pieces, but check back on the blog in a bit for an incredibly exciting announcement, and an invitation to everybody...

{ glamporium morn } chic shackles

since seeing gangs of chain on lanvin's spring 2010 runway, i've been obsessed with ankle jewelry (as evidenced here, again, once more, and now). who knew matching leg bracelets could glam up any old shoe so easily?!
if you too are into this trend, then gallop over to the glamporium, which is suddenly stocked with several sets of show-stopping stocking toppers!

Sweet handmade stuff

  Si j'ai découvert la maille cet hiver, porté d'innombrables pulls et gilets pour me rendre compte qu'après tout, elle avait un intérêt,  j'affectionne d'autant plus cette matière lorsqu'elle a été tricotée par une personne chère.

  I really discovered knitwear this year. I wore a lot of sweaters and cardigans and I realized that knit could have such an interest, above all this poncho which was made by a loved one.

Poncho handmade, chemise Zara, capeline Asos (vue ici), sac vintage (vu ici), sandales Topshop
Handmade poncho, Zara shirt, Asos hat (also here), vintage bag (also here), Topshop sandals

{ glamporium morn } merry mystics

and some really rad rings:

then come back soon for more fancy fun!

{ costume of the day } twinkle toes

you all probably know that, when getting dressed, my goal is basically to wear as much jewelry as possible
(otherwise, how boring!)...

...so i was elated to spot a mini-pedi trend marching down last week's lanvin runway: shoe jewels!!!

(lanvin / spring 2010)

these chic shackles are a far cry from the anklets of yore. i wonder why i never before realized my need for multi-strand chain-link leg pieces?

well, no matter now: over the weekend i stopped this devastating gap in my accessory arsenal!

obviously, with such fancily fettered feet, i couldn't let the rest of my ensemble feel under-adorned:

{ h+m beanie, vintage sunnies, self-designed spiral solaris necklace & bands of bling bib, jean yu dress, vintage cashmere dress (underneath), F21 tights, calvin klein collection pumps, DIY ankle jewelry }
