Things are quite crazy around here! School is kicking my butt! A midterm last week, two this week, and 3 major projects in three weeks... I apologize for the lack of updates, I will try my best to resume to normal posting by Thursday. I've got lots of outfit posts archived! Until then, you can count on my tumblr for current inspiration!

I think by now everyone knows that Hannah Metz is a big girl crush of mine! I wish I was in L.A. in February when The Loved One had a pop-up shop. Vintage wares, gin, flowers, pretty undies, and a dreamy girl on a swing?!? Looks like a dreamland to me!

In other news: Flipping through the latest issue of N.E.E.T. I was surprised to see my photo in the Global Fashion feature on page 224! Thanks for the feature :) Read the issue here...

Also, I now have a tumblr and twitter! There are lots of images I see around the internet that I really love, but I don't want to drown this blog in overposting. Hence me caving and finally getting a tumblr! I'm still a little new to both sites, so forgive any faux pas please...

recently, on my DIY idea tumblr, i posted pics of bow-bedecked chain handle bags from lanvin and marni, and pledged to pick a bag from my personal collection to be-ribbon.

this normally neglected, vintage morris moskovitz fur purse was perfect for the project:

i wove a bias silk ribbon through a little over half the gold chain handle {just enough so it would crest over my shoulder when worn}, braided the remainder with a smaller brass chain...

{ABOVE + BELOW: AFTER}

...then finished the ribbon ends with my favorite fanciful flourish ~ floppy bows!

i am thrilled with the results of this fun and easy project, and can't wait to wear my newly improved {so much better} bag!

this has been a crazy week over on mount glamouramous ~ thus the slowdown in posting. things should be back to normal before you know it, but in the meantime i thought i'd share a few of this week's hippest happenings...

the glamourwrap launch was such a successful soiree! couldn't make it? not to worry: my newfound friend dreamsequins did a wonderful write-up on the revelry.

i met laurakitty, a photo blogger who lives but a block from me and owns no less that 60 vintage ossie clark dresses! as a result, i experienced extreme jealousy, and now plan to infiltrate her apartment and execute epic thievery.

need some craft-spiration to brighten up your dark winter days? i started a tumblr blog to keep track of all the DIY ideas i want to try.

i attended a book party for photographer glen luchford, and fell madly in love with his elegant, emotive imagery.

suddenly sucked into the virtual vortex that is ruelala, i've been on bargain-buying binges that begat marc jacobs cashmeres and wolford hosiery. email me {theglamourai@gmail.com} if you'd like an invitation to shop along!

Have you tried grouping black and white photographs on the wall similar to the last image? I'm going to attempt it ... but I will use old family photographs in all different types of vintage frames...wish me luck.
