Last Days of Disco

I don't really understand how the elves at the Iosselliani studio work, but every season they turn out a gorgeous new load of intricately assembled jewels that each have a trillion little parts, tiny gems, and hidden details. Traditionally, Iosselliani has favored a monochromatic palette of black and crystal on sterling silver, but gradually have been branching out and incorporating pops of color into their collections. For fall, they've gone all out, adding a dizzying array of rainbow hues, which serve as a sweet counterpoint to their gothic-tinged designs. Twinkling stars sit next to giant flies, and oversized beetles clutch at large Swarovski stones. The designers were apparently influenced by the seventies, and while the pieces hardly look vintage, they definitely give off the glow of disco-decadence associated with that era.
