holiday at home
my parents came for a visit this weekend, which made for a lovely excuse to play tourist in new york. we visited the statue of liberty...
...where i managed to climb the base in a dripping, floor-length sundress:
i strolled through the central park zoo...
...and compared plumage with its most colorful creatures:
we shopped for panama hats, tacky refrigerator magnets, and painted fans. we viewed the frick collection and ate dim sum at the world's most bonkers chinese restaurant:
it was double happiness for all!
