{ costume of the day } YSL edition
in celebration of my couture collection of YSL sunnies, i decided today's costume should channel a bit of the sportswear spirit of the original yves saint laurent.
granted, it's a relaxed interpretation, but YSL was definitely on my mind...
...easy but elegant separates, nubby silk crepe, mannish tailoring ~ executed in a softly feminine way, square buckle belt, statement jewels...
he's in there somewhere, no?
the glamourai for shrimpton couture necklace & sunnies (pre-order now!), agnes b shirt, f21 slip dress, vintage gianfranco ferre belt, vintage john romaine bag, elizabeth + james shoes, black orchid earrings, beehive bramble ring (oops! this ring just sold! but do not fear ~ more like it here)
all costumery aside, i'm very happy to announce that shrimpton couture is featured on the huffington post today! and i quote: "shrimpton couture is to vintage clothing what net-a-porter is to designer duds." TRUE!
best of all, it seems they loved my summer bouquet bib, and had kind words to say about the rest of the collection as well: "the glamourai necklaces capture the eclectic, chunky styles that have been seen on runways from lanvin to marni."
