I'll shoot the moon out of the sky for you...

If you are like me, and obsessed with digital prints, then you must also be a fan of Risto Bimbiloski. This season the designer was inspired by his recent acquisition of a super-powerful telescope, resulting in lustrous prints of the surface of the moon rendered in diaphanous silks, creating a dreamlike effect. The space-age pieces were accented with spider-web style knits and embellished denim that were meant to echo the roughness of the moon's surface. The entire collection seems like a nice continuation of his galaxy and lightning prints from previous seasons, and Bimbiloski clearly has a fascination with outer space and astronomy (I wonder if he looks at the NASA photo a day page much?). I've seen many a poor imitation of said prints, but Risto always does it the best.
