Mandy Coon's Debut Collection

My favorite piece in the collection, a tiger printed smock dress

When I first saw Mandy Coon's booth at Rendez-Vous, I immediately mistook it for Camilla Staerk. Mainly because of the confusing signage (they were sharing a booth), but also because of a commonality in aesthetic; Coon has worked as the assistant designer for Staerk for several seasons. Still, while the hard edge and darker palette of Staerk run through Coon's eponymous line, she counters it with plenty of flowing ruffles and voluminous dresses, and the line is entirely her own. Stand out pieces include asymmetrical ruffled dress, a convertible piece that morphs from a dress to a jacket and a skirt, and a structural leather dress. Unfortunately, these pictures hardly do the collection justice (the lighting was terrible), but at least you can get an idea, and make sure to check out the rest of the looks on her website.
